Day 1 of Sleepwell presents Sacred Amritsar was a sublime medley of music, poetry, and history. Swaransh Mishra’s ‘Echoes of Banaras’ set the tone, followed by Kalapini Komkali’s tribute to Kumar Gandharva, where classical melodies took centre stage.
Abhijit Pohankar’s ‘Hazrat Amir Khusrau Project’ revived medieval poetry, while Padma Shri Anwar Khan Manganiyar’s ‘Parampara’ brought Rajasthani folk traditions to life.
Literary and historical narratives emerged with ‘From Kingdom to Massacre – Punjab’s Crimson Spring,’ featuring Navtej Sarna in conversation with Navdeep Suri. Through mesmerising tales, Laksh Maheshwari paid tribute to Amrita, Sahir, and Imroz.
The Heritage Trail, led by city’s exepert chronicler Tarundeep Singh, wove together history, culture, and cuisine.
