Day 2 of Sleepwell presents Sacred Amritsar echoed with melody, history, and storytelling. ‘A Sacred Conversation’ brought together vocal, sitar, and tabla as Debapriya Adhikary, Samanwaya Sarkar, and Sohon Ghosh set a soulful rhythm, while Malini Awasthi and Yatindra Mishra’s ‘Dastan-e-Akhtari’ celebrated Begum Akhtar’s legacy.
History and identity took centre stage in ‘The Inheritance of Partition,’ as Aanchal Malhotra engaged in a thought-provoking conversation with Sanjoy K. Roy. Closing the evening, Neeraj Arya’s Kabir Café blended neo-folk with Saint Kabir’s timeless verses, creating a musical journey beyond borders.
The Heritage Trail continued its exploration of Amritsar’s rich past, weaving together stories of culture and tradition.
